The Ghent Workgroup GWG met at the Dalim Headquarters from June 13 to 15 for its second of three technical meetings for 2018.
The technical meetings bring together experts from all areas of the printing and graphic communications industry to discuss ongoing developments in PDF and packaging, and to develop free best practices and specifications that assist industry to get the most out of using PDF. One such document is the newly published whitepaper on using transparency in PDF. This document, authored by the PMRC’s Director, Jason Lisi, is a must have for anyone wanting to better understand how native PDF transparency affects final print output. A copy of the whitepaper can be downloaded for free from the GWG website: http://www.gwg.org/learn/gwg-whitepapers/
Since 2002, GWG has been creating best practice specifications to make the global design and publishing processes more reliable and efficient. Using GWG specifications means companies can have the confidence that their PDF files are validated.
